A course of treatment costs £2,250. This consists of six visits including the initial appointment, taking place once or twice a week over 3 to 6 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will treatment start at my first appointment?

Yes. After a case history and clinical examination, your course of shockwave therapy will begin at the first appointment. The only exception is if a contraindication is found during assessment.

Do I need a GP or consultant referral?

No referral is needed. However, if considering focused shockwave therapy for vascular erectile dysfunction, we recommend first consulting a specialist to confirm that your dysfunction is not caused by a hormonal or testosterone deficiency, as shockwave therapy will not address these causes.

How often should I have treatment?

Once or twice a week.

What happens during a session?

You are greeted in reception and taken to the treatment room. A water-based conduction gel is applied to the treatment area and the focused shockwaves are delivered using a hand-held probe. The probe is gently and slowly moved over the treatment area (shaft of the penis and perineal area). Pressure and frequency can be varied according to your comfort level. With focused shockwave, a highly effective dose can usually be delivered with negligible to minimal discomfort.
