About Spine Plus Gidea Park
Our Gidea Park clinic is trusted by patients from Romford, Gidea Park, Upminster, Elm Park, Rainham and across the wider Havering area. We are approximately 15 minutes walk from Gidea Park Station, or if travelling by car there is plenty of parking on site.
This clinic is our relocated and expanded Hornchurch clinic, now offering a wider range of treatments in an improved facility including IDD Therapy, our gold standard spinal decompression treatment.
As from September 2025 we are merging with the team at the Family Health Hub to become the Spine Plus Wellness Hub, bringing a multi-therapy approach to pain and recovery for patients across Romford, Gidea Park, Hornchurch and Essex.

IDD Therapy at Gidea Park
IDD Therapy is the leading non-surgical spinal decompression treatment, using precise angles and computer-controlled oscillatory decompression forces to target specific segments of the spine. It is a safe alternative to spinal surgery for disc bulges, sciatica and chronic lower back pain.
An MRI is required before starting IDD Therapy. We can organise an MRI with reports from Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital specialists. A FREE 15-minute telephone consultation is available to see if IDD Therapy is right for you.

Do you offer non-surgical treatment for disc problems?
Yes. IDD Therapy is a safe alternative to spinal surgery, available at our Chigwell and Gidea Park clinics. It helps relieve disc bulges, sciatica and chronic lower back pain.
Do I need an MRI scan to receive IDD Therapy?
Yes. To receive IDD Therapy you need to have had an MRI scan of your neck or lower back. This lets us assess your suitability and know which disc to target.
What other conditions do your osteopaths treat?
Our osteopaths help with joint pain, muscle tension, neck issues, sciatica, headaches and postural strain. We also work with patients recovering from injuries or managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinopathy (frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and more).
Can you refer me for an MRI scan?
Yes. We work closely with several MRI centres and have preferred status with these centres (such as InHealth Hornchurch), letting us organise specialised spinal sequences and MRI reports from specialist radiologists at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital at no extra cost. The average cost of the spinal MRI scans we organise is £350.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
Many private health insurers cover osteopathy and Shockwave therapy, and some cover IDD Therapy. We can provide invoices for reimbursement; contact your insurer to confirm eligibility.
How soon can I get an appointment?
