About Spine Plus
Spine Plus Chigwell was established in 2000 by osteopath Robert Shanks. Originally under the name Chigwell Osteopathy Practice, it was later renamed Chigwell Osteopathy & Physiotherapy Practice when Robert’s mother, a chartered Physiotherapist with over 40 years of experience, joined the business.
The most recent rebrand to “Spine Plus” coincided with the expansion of the clinics across East London and Essex. Today, Spine Plus is Essex and North East London’s leading spinal and orthopaedic therapy clinic group, trusted by thousands of patients over 25 years.
In 2011, we established the first IDD Therapy clinic in Essex, and were the 3rd clinic in the UK to offer this gold-standard spinal decompression treatment.
