Laser Therapy at Spine Plus

Our clinics in Chigwell, Woodford and Hornchurch are equipped with Class III and Class IV laser therapy machines. These machines use laser light of specific wavelengths to increase blood flow, stimulate cells involved in healing and the inflammatory response, and produce changes in peripheral nerve conduction.

Before choosing which laser machines to invest in, we trialled and researched many different types from different manufacturers. We settled on machines (by MLS and Omega) with excellent safety ratings and treatment parameters that match the medical research demonstrating clinical effectiveness.

Our machines offer multiple wavelengths (905nm, 800nm and others) and power ratings. They deliver clinically effective treatment doses quickly within standard appointment times and can be combined with ultrasound, shockwave or massage during the same session.

Research Evidence

There have been more than 2,000 published studies on the clinical effectiveness of laser therapy, including more than one hundred rigorously controlled trials:

• Effective in 71% of cases of chronic low back pain
