Nadeem's IDD Spinal Decompression Story: 10/10 Pain to Normal

Published: 12 October 2023

Nadeem, a teacher from Ilford, was experiencing debilitating sciatic nerve pain from an L5-S1 disc problem. The pain was so severe he was unable to stand straight and was relying on crutches to get around. He desperately wanted to avoid injections and surgery.

After researching his options and having his MRI reviewed at Spine Plus, Nadeem began a course of IDD Therapy. The results were remarkable.

What Is IDD Therapy?

IDD (Intervertebral Differential Dynamics) Therapy is a computerised spinal decompression treatment that targets specific disc levels in the spine. Using oscillating distraction forces, it gently stretches the disc space, reducing pressure on the nerve root and encouraging the disc to rehydrate and heal.

Unlike manual traction, IDD Therapy can target individual disc levels precisely and applies a cyclic distraction that promotes fluid exchange within the disc. Spine Plus was one of the first three clinics in the UK to offer IDD Therapy.

Who Is IDD Therapy Suitable For?

IDD Therapy is particularly suitable for patients with:

  • Disc bulge or herniation with nerve root compression
  • Sciatica from a disc problem
  • Degenerative disc disease
  • Spinal stenosis (in appropriate cases)
